The ideas and experiences of patients, caregivers and families are important to us. By partnering with patients, caregivers and families, we can improve care by ensuring our design and delivery of services meets their needs and the values set out by the Woodstock Hospital Declaration of Patient Values. To get involved and partner in care, we invite patients, caregivers and families to volunteer with us no matter if they have a lot of time to give, or a little. Below are two different ways to participate.

Advisory Pool

If you would like to have a range of opportunities regularly shared with you, we invite you to sign up with us for ongoing updates about different ways to get involved. Some opportunities may take as little as 15 minutes of your time, whereas others may be an hour or two a month. For more information and to fill out a brief intake form, click here.

Advisory Council

If you would like a regular opportunity to participate in a group setting with other Patient & Family Advisors and hospital staff, we host meetings every second month that last 90 minutes. Council members are dedicated to providing ongoing feedback on a range of hospital policies, education materials, and help to shape hospital initiatives. For more information and to fill out an application form, click here.

PLEASE NOTE:

The role of a Patient & Family Advisor is to constructively partner with the hospital on programs, policies, and projects that strive to work towards a better experience for all patients, caregivers and families. During this experience, we encourage you to share your ideas and experiences but it is not intended to address individual complaints or concerns. These can be shared through our patient relations process, which can be found here.
