Woodstock Hospital is committed to providing an accessible and inclusive environment for all patients, employees and visitors, and to meeting the standards outlined in the province’s Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA).

Wheelchairs

Wheelchairs are available at all entrances to our hospital. Anyone needing assistance with a wheelchair can also dial “0” on any of our hospital telephones to speak with switchboard and request a wheelchair. Accessible parking is available in the paid visitor lots in close proximity to the building entrances. There is also short-term accessible parking for drop-offs near the main entrance door off of Juliana Drive.

Service Animals

Service Animals are also welcome on our property.  You are encouraged to discuss bringing the service animal with you when booking your first appointment with our hospital staff.

Assistive Devices

Woodstock Hospital requests patients bring assistive devices with them when accessing care and services. Woodstock Hospital makes every effort to ensure that patients with disabilities can use their assistive devices while in the organization. Assistive devices include (but are not limited to): wheelchairs, hearing aids, adaptive computer technologies, walkers, crutches, and personal sound amplification devices.

Support Persons

Woodstock Hospital welcomes support people who accompany patients with disabilities to hospital premises. Every effort will be made to ensure that people with disabilities have access to their support person except where the safety of a person is a risk. If the support person cannot accompany the person with the disability, staff ensures measures are available for the person to obtain, use and benefit from care and services.
