Mental Health Services

Woodstock Hospital

Did you know… each year, 1 in 5 Canadians will experience a mental health issue or illness. Mental illness can affect anyone, regardless of age, culture, education, or income.

Unfortunately, stigma still exists. Stigma is a negative attitude or belief about people with mental health concerns, and it prevents nearly 40% of individuals with anxiety or depression from seeking help. It can increase feelings of isolation, shame, and hopelessness.

What are the steps you can take to reduce stigma?

  • Learn about mental health
  • Share knowledge with others
  • Reflect on and challenge our own biases
  • Show compassion and support to those who are struggling

At Woodstock Hospital, we are a Schedule 1 psychiatric facility. Our Mental Health Department promotes help-seeking through a wide range of programs and services, delivered without judgment. We treat every individual with dignity and respect, and we are committed to creating an inclusive and supportive environment.

Below is an overview of the mental health programs and services available at Woodstock Hospital. If you have questions, please call us at 519-421-4223.
