Accessing this Service:

Your Physician’s office will make the appointment for you through Central Bookings at Woodstock Hospital and they will give you an outpatient requisition form that documents the exam requested, clinical information and any preparations required. You must bring your Health Card and an X-ray requisition form. Click here to continue to our Forms page to obtain this document.

X-ray exams are the most common studies performed in Diagnostic Imaging. These exams include X-rays of bones, joints, chest, abdomen and spines. Other exams that are performed include upper and lower gastrointestinal tract radiography, barium enemas, hysterosalpingograms, arthrograms, facet joint/SI joint/extremity injections, aspirations, biopsies and other special procedures.

X-rays are a form of ionizing radiation that can pass through most tissues of the body.  Modern X-ray equipment produces high quality images using a minimum of radiation.  The Radiologist will interpret the exam and the results will be sent to your Physician within 3-5 working days.
