MRSA / VRE Bacteremia Rates

Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) and Vancomycin-resistant Enterococcus (VRE) are two examples of Antibiotic Resistant Organisms (ARO’s) which can cause infections. An infection that occurs in the blood is referred to as a bacteremia. MRSA and VRE Bacteremia’s are one of the key indicators that hospitals must carefully monitor.

Below is the quarterly break down of MRSA / VRE Bacteremia cases at Woodstock Hospital in 2020 ,2021,2022 and 2023.
