CT stands for “Computed Tomography”.

CT scans provide highly detailed images of every region of the body and are most commonly used to examine the brain, chest, abdomen/pelvis and back.  Scans of any other body region can also be obtained.  CT is useful to evaluate the body for signs of infection, masses, trauma, degenerative changes etc. The Radiologist will interpret the exam and the results will be sent to your Physician within 3 to 5 working days.
