Woodstock Hospital Foundation’s December jackpot for their monthly online 50/50 Raffle has reached a record-breaking $100,000.00 prize. Proceeds from the 50/50 are used to purchase new medical equipment and technology for Woodstock Hospital’s Diagnostic Imaging department and has already  led to major advancements in the hospital including the addition of a mobile fluoroscopy camera.

As of November 24, 2021, a joint agreement has been made by community partners detailing the process and protocol to transition individuals into hospital after they are apprehended by police under the Mental Health Act.

In conjunction with regional hospitals, all visitors to Woodstock Hospital are now required to show government issued photo identification and proof of full COVID-19 vaccination. Necessary visitors who cannot provide proof of vaccination will be required to limit their visit to the patient’s room only. This policy does not impact patients or those coming to the hospital to access services.

Changes to the landscape of the COVID-19 pandemic have made it necessary for the Woodstock Hospital to re-evaluate its COVID-19 vaccination policy for staff. The revised policy will ensure that all staff at Woodstock Hospital are fully vaccinated against COVID-19, with exception to individuals with medical exemptions

With the delta variant dominating COVID-19 case counts locally and across the province, hospitals and other high-risk settings have been directed to implement vaccination policies as of September 7, 2021. Woodstock Hospital’s vaccination policy will require all staff and physicians to be fully immunized for COVID-19 or undertake mandatory testing prior to each shift to verify negative test results
